Select your country to see jobs specific to your location.Supply Chain Continuous Improvement Manager - Gauteng, JohannesburgNote: This role will best suit an up and coming Demand planning and CI specialist with 2 years of management experience.Reporting to the Managing Director, you have a background in Supply chain Continuous Improvement, Replenishment Planning & forecasting.You will lead a small team of University Degreed Industrial engineers &be responsible for embedding and developing an integrated, 'best in class" supply chain approach for the business, to ensure cost optimistaion and customer satisfaction.Providing business intelligence and analysis specific to the performance of the industry division & value chain within South Africa through the recommendation of improvements to the stakeholders, you will:Duties and Responsibilites:Review company's business processes for enhancing effectiveness and benchmark with Industry Best PracticeWork collaboratively with stakeholders to implement C.I. initiatives to drive cost reduction and service delivery across the businessEngage with key internal and external stakeholders to change behaviour to drive process improvement in a positive mannerCompile the business case for improvements as well as track the value realised vs initiativesAnalysis of the Wholesale supply chain encompassing:Network design and modelling to create an optimized service strategy eg. Centralised vs Decentralised vs Hybrid model.Route and Vehicle Optimization. Schedules services vs Dedicated services, vs Hybrid.Industry footprint analysis and support. Identify future service points and review current footprint efficiency and cost.Scenario Planning of possible future events (process, cost, behavioral changes)oAd-hoc analysis and root cause analysisImplement a Continuous improvement planLong term strategic planning: Forecasting and requirement planning, Capacity and impact assessementsBalance Sheet Relief Mechanism Analysis and OptimisationProjects: industry systems imporvements, transport opitmiation, Data integrity, process optimisationDepartment support, analysis and modellingIndustry and Department Projects and Continuous Improvement innovationB Eng Industrial Engineering (Hons) / Bsc Analytical discipline (Operational Research etc). SAPICS certification- advantageous PLUS5 years' experience within the supply chain or operations environment of which4 years plus analytical roles3 years continuous improvement3 years operational research and modelling3 years managementExperience with ERP/Planning/Planning systemsAdvanced knowledge of MS Office suiteNote: travel to business centres as required.
