The Role Responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of import and export activities, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and maintaining efficient and cost-effective logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities Prepares and arranges carriers' collections and deliveries locally, regionally, and globally for all modes of transportation.Plays a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain processes, minimizing delays, and reducing costs.
Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing shipping documents, coordinating with freight forwarders and customs brokers, and monitoring shipments to ensure timely delivery.Responsible for resolving any issues that arise during the shipping process, maintaining accurate records, and staying up to date with changes in trade regulations.Track and monitor the status of shipments, providing real-time updates to clients and internal teams.Communicating with suppliers, agents, customs officials, and other relevant parties.Ensure that loss and claim processes are actioned timeously.Guide and recommend the best possible mode based on priority.Ensures that goods are delivered on time and proof of deliveries are provided.Reconcile shipments, packing lists, and invoices and ensure that the payments process is followed accordingly.Responsible for the timely completion of clearing instructions on imports.Your Profile Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field (advantageous).Proven 3 years+ experience in supply chain, knowledge of international shipping, freight, and logistics principles.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to work collaboratively with various departments and external partners and a strong understanding of global trade laws.Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.Please note that, in line with our EE Plan, HDSA (Historically disadvantaged South African) candidates will be given first preference.
