Key Responsibilities: Data Gathering & Preparation: Collect and prepare data on market trends and competitor pricing to support pricing strategies.
Supplier Price Book Management: Obtain and review price books from suppliers, ensuring data is up-to-date and accurate.
Data Integrity: Maintain accurate supplier data in inventory management systems, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Supplier Relationship Management: Communicate regularly with suppliers to foster strong working relationships and ensure access to competitive pricing.
Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with procurement, finance, sales, and operations teams to support cross-functional projects and initiatives.
Compliance Monitoring: Track and manage supplier operating licenses and compliance requirements, ensuring up-to-date documentation.
Product Knowledge Development: Stay informed on industry trends and supplier product offerings within the telecommunications sector.
Required Qualifications: Education: A degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field (B. Comm preferred) will be advantageous.
Experience: Exposure to data gathering, preparation, pricing, financial analysis, or supply chain operations is highly advantageous.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other advanced functions).
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Computer Applications Technology (CAT) / Computer Studies as a high school subject would be advantageous.
Analytical Abilities: Strong numerical skills with a sharp attention to detail, able to analyze and interpret large datasets to support business decisions.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data and insights clearly to senior management.
Behavioural Competencies: Organized, proactive, and able to manage tasks independently.
Objective and assertive, with strong problem-solving skills.
Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Additional Requirements: Telecommunications Knowledge: Experience or knowledge of the telecommunications industry, especially within Africa, is beneficial but not required.
Work Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime when required to meet project deadlines or business needs.
