Role Purpose: The purpose of the Insights Engagement Coordinator role is to leverage Shoprite's rich customer and transactional retail data assets to enable strategic insights to Shoprite's internal and external stakeholders. The role includes gathering insights using a software-as-a-service (SaaS) insights platform, training stakeholders how to use the platform, and effectively communicating findings and trends using various mediums. This role provides coordination support to Insights Engagement Managers, whilst managing small–to-mid sized supplier accounts, maintaining positive relationships with key supplier representatives, retaining the accounts and supporting stakeholders' decision-making processes using the insights platform.
The Insights Engagement Coordinator maintains excellent relationships with stakeholders, pursues the highest levels of support and service, is an effective communicator, and is a strong operational coordinator.
Role Description: Train and support internal and external stakeholders to use our insights platform to derive actionable insights from data to support key business decisions. Facilitate insights development including data interpretation, recommendations and presenting results to internal and external business stakeholders. Work with suppliers to fully understand their insights needs and coordinate strategies for delivering on supplier objectives. Support suppliers to access and fully leverage the insights technology platform. Manage all incidents through the incident case management system, efficiently identifying incidents requiring assistance, allocating to the responsible party, monitoring progress on incidents, and escalating to management if required. Compile, with internal support, key trend reports, facilitate sign-off by primary stakeholders, and execute the distribution to appropriate stakeholders using an email marketing platform. Support Insights Engagement Managers with the creation of presentations for their portfolio clients. Perform insights platform demonstrations to prospective supplier customers and hand-over sales opportunities to the commercial team lead. Proactively explore insights that can be translated into initiatives. Support suppliers in translating insights into feasible action plans in collaboration with suppliers and business stakeholders. Facilitate strategic and tactical workshops to support stakeholders in unearthing opportunities and implementing reporting measures using the insights platform. Collaborate across teams and functions to fully leverage data and shift mindsets from facts and findings to insights and evidence that drive sound business decisions. Conduct investigations to uncover key issues, benchmarks, and best practices. Identify data-driven marketing and advertising opportunities within your portfolio of clients and refer to our media network business. Cross- and upsell suppliers onto other packages and services. Retain supplier accounts. Synthesise and present insights through inspirational storytelling to inform internal/external stakeholders' opinions as well as decisions. Qualifications and experience: Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field – (essential). +2 years' experience in a similar capacity or role, including key account management roles in an analytics or SaaS context – (essential). Experience working with large data sets, using analytics / insights platforms to explore the data, and presenting it in a way that delivers actionable insights and derives value – (essential). Well-versed in communicating business recommendations and insights into well-packaged and visually appealing presentations – (essential). Proven success working with FMCG brands, category, shopper or retail insights to shape and inform business decision-making – (highly beneficial). Experience in delivering insights in either a large retail organisation or within a supplier business context – (highly beneficial). Experience cross- and upselling solutions – (highly beneficial). Proficient in using analytics (highly desired) or SaaS platforms - (desired). Experience with retailer specific data (POS, Retailer Rewards Card data etc.) – (desired). Experience with email marketing platforms – (desired).
