Our mining client is looking for a dynamic Supervisor for Shift Load and Haul operations.
This role involves overseeing daily load and haul activities, managing tools and trucks, leading teams, handling contractor relations, controlling budgets, and ensuring SHERQ compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities: Manage and supervise daily load and haul activities, ensuring that all operations are conducted efficiently, safely, and in accordance with industry best practices and company standards.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of operators and support staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging adherence to safety protocols and operational excellence.
Maintain effective communication and relationships with contractors, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met and that work is completed to the required standards.
Monitor and control operational budgets, ensuring that all activities are carried out within financial parameters while optimizing the use of tools, trucks, and other resources.
Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality (SHERQ) standards, conducting regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards, and reporting on operational performance and compliance metrics.
Required Experience Minimum of five (5) years operational general surface mining experience Control Room / Quality Control / Machine Operator.
Minimum of one (1) year operational operator experience Load and Haul or Auxiliary equipment (Recommended).
Minimum of one (1) year Supervisor / Team / Project Leader experience in a surface mining environment.
Minimum of five (5) years Supervisor / Team / Project Leader experience in a Load and Haul mining environment (Recommended).
Qualification Requirements Grade 12.
Blasting Certificate in Surface Mining / MQA equivalent qualification.
Supervisory Certificate (NQF level 4, 150 Credits) or ARM equivalent.
Mine Overseer Certificate in Mining or National Diploma in Mining Engineering NQF 6 (Recommended).
Skills and Competencies Computer literacy (Intermediate user of MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, JDE).
Functional knowledge (Load and Haul, Drill and Blast processes and procedures, Grade control module, ability to understand Geoscan readings).
Adapting and responding to change.
