About Mamatwan Mine South Africa's Manganese operation is based in the Kalahari Basin, Northern Cape, which contains 80% of the world's manganese.
The Mamatwan open-cut mine, which has been operating for over 50 years, is a key part of the operation.
Role Overview Position Type : Permanent, full-time Location : Mamatwan Mine, Northern Cape As a Supervisor Maintenance , you will lead a team of artisans and operator maintainers across various maintenance disciplines (electrical and mechanical).
Your primary responsibility is ensuring the safe execution of breakdown, unplanned, and planned maintenance to support production.
Key Responsibilities Health and Safety : Maintain health, safety, and housekeeping standards within the team and operational environment.
Performance Reporting : Provide daily reports on plant performance and account for stoppages.
Resource and Work Management : Prioritize work effectively to ensure both planned and breakdown maintenance is managed efficiently.
Technical Expertise : Utilize your knowledge of hydraulics, crushers, pumps, screens, conveyors, and various plant equipment.
Electrical Knowledge : Demonstrate a strong understanding of medium/high voltage networks and industrial/commercial installations.
Work Management System : Enforce the use of the work management system and ensure the completion of planned maintenance work for the team.
Requirements About You Experience : At least 4 years of plant maintenance experience, with 2 years in a supervisory role.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and fixed plant maintenance, particularly in safely delivering maintenance services.
