Key Responsibilities Administration Manage Health and Safety data, reports, and profiles by gathering, analyzing, and presenting insights to management.
Participate in meetings, offering advice based on specialist knowledge.
Keep updated with Health and Safety developments, innovations, and technologies.
Assist with maintaining and updating policies, procedures, and regulations.
Control costs and minimize resource wastage within budget constraints.
Organizational Culture Actively support and participate in the execution of the organizational development plan.
ESG Compliance Align with Work Gold Council (WGC) responsible mining principles (SA Gold Operations).
Enhance Together for Sustainability (eTfS) initiative (SA PGM Operations).
SHE Compliance Maintain SHE standards and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Participate in risk assessments and address identified risks appropriately.
SHE Management Foster a culture of SHE leadership within the department.
Quality Management System (QMS) Maintain and comply with department documents and QMS requirements.

Requirements Minimum Required Qualification Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) and National Cert level 4 Licentiate and Related Occupational Certificates Services.
Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF 4 qualification with English literacy.
Hold an engineering qualification and/or mineral processing qualification.
Have at least 3 years of experience in risk and safety management, with administration knowledge within mining, services, or processing environments.
Demonstrate project management skills and experience with full system implementation.
Be medically fit for the specific business area.
Have a clear security screening record.
Hold a valid driver's license (if applicable).
Additional Requirements NQF 5 qualification in Risk Management (e.g., Fundamentals of Risk Management - IRCA, Risk Assessment Techniques, or Train the Trainer) is advantageous.
Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
