Work Description
The Supervisor Counsellor directs and oversees the work of the Lay, Adherence and Retention Counsellors toward the achievement of specific programme goals.
Technical Work Responsibilities
Supervise Lay, Adherence and Retention Counsellors
Draft and retain monthly schedules
Oversee that all staff have the necessary tools, equipment and material for effective productivity
Visit staff regularly at facilities and meet with all staff at least on a monthly basis
Liaise with facilities where the subordinates are based
Manage staff performance
Attend to complaints and take corrective actions
Education
Matric/Grade 12
Advantageous
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Social/Health Sciences
Experience
2 years' experience in HIV Counselling and Testing
Requirements
Basic knowledge or training in general or project management
HIV counselling and Testing certificate
RTQII knowledge
Basic computer skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Advantageous
Valid Driver's Licence
Own Vehicle
