Key Performance Output The successful candidate will be reporting to Assistant Manager Aviation Security Operations, and will be responsible but not limited to the following: Provide a safe and secure environment and supervise Security personnel at central search points and other relevant areas. Develop Human Capital in line with relevant policies and procedures, including the Work Skills Plan. Manage the performance of staff, including outsourced staff, and introduce remedial processes where necessary. Perform quarterly Performance Management System (PMS) assessments. Ensure Security thoroughness and responsiveness. Responsible for shift management and communication. Attend Operations meetings and provide feedback as required. Ensure compliance and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), including regulatory registers. Investigate, report and correct all Security breaches/deficiencies and non-conformances and ensure adequate remedial action. Conduct inspections, identify and report operational risks and ensure adequate remedial action. Detect, prevent and deter security incidents. Report all incidents and accidents immediately. Follow-up and give feedback on all Operational issues. Compile monthly statistics. Ensure all internal and external Stakeholders comply with Security policies and procedures when moving through the dedicated-staff Security checkpoint. Operate according to ICAO, NKP and SACAA and other relevant Legislation and all ACSA policies and procedures. Ensure that all equipment is in a working condition. Build and maintain sound internal and external stakeholder / customer relations whilst balancing enforcement with professionalism. Attend to and assist with customer and stakeholder complaints and compliments, including escalated complaints. Respond to all emergencies in the prescribed manner and ensure that the team is able to respond adequately.
Technical Skills and Experience The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required: A National Senior Certificate NQF Level 4 (Matric) is essential. A National Diploma NQF Level 6 in related field is advantageous. A certificate in South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) Supervisory is advantageous. 3 years operational experience in relevant field essential. 2 years supervisory experience in relevant field essential. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
