Reference: DSS01 - SSJob Description: Our client is seeking a Superintendent Procurement Specialist to manage and enhance procurement processes locally and globally, aligning with business objectives and project goals.
The role includes developing procurement plans, analyzing spending trends, tracking performance against SLAs, and driving cost optimization.Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the procurement process (both local and global) to identify and support development opportunities.Analyze and report on opportunities arising from procurement and vendor management activities.Evaluate departmental service performance against agreed service level agreements (SLAs).Collaborate with stakeholders to align solution requirements with business operations and project objectives.Provide timely, accurate, and relevant information to support effective business decision-making.Analyze spending trends and categorize data into EBIT centers, suppliers, commodities, and inventory.Develop a comprehensive procurement plan, identifying quick-win opportunities for implementation.Track and compare the procurement plan against set targets, implementing corrective actions as needed.Ensure adherence to statutory regulations, internal controls, company policies, governance standards, and work procedures.Review and improve control systems to serve as early warning mechanisms for identifying variances from targets.Assist in creating and updating policies, procedures, and governance structures to maintain compliance with applicable standards and legislation.Support compliance audits and investigations, actively addressing findings and implementing solutions.Design and enhance procure-to-pay systems and processes to optimize acquisition costs for the business.Contribute to and support the implementation of the Materials Management Strategy.Develop systems and frameworks to deploy and maintain effective policies, procedures, and governance structures.Conduct research and design systems to build robust business cases for change management, promoting continuous improvement initiatives.Allocate resources strategically to ensure procurement support aligns with the organization's EBIT objectives.Ensure Standard Procedures and Instructions (SPI) are up-to-date and assess their impact through ongoing monitoring.Align procurement strategies and processes with broader business goals and procure-to-pay objectives.Define and set ambitious targets for all areas of responsibility.Coordinate resources and establish contingency plans to maintain seamless business operations.Provide ad hoc support for SLP and capital-related non-contract purchases as required.Requirements: Qualification and SkillLevel 6 Qualification: Diploma or Advanced CertificateExperience: Minimum of 6 years in a commercial role, with at least 4 years specifically in procurement management.Comprehensive knowledge and experience with SAP MM is essential.Benefits and Contractual information:Permanent positionPlease visit www.mining-recruitment-jobs.com for more exciting opportunities.
