Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Automation to lead our automation initiatives across key business functions. This role will be responsible for mapping, optimizing, and automating processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and overall performance. You will work closely with various teams to understand their needs and drive automation.
Key Responsibilities: Process Mapping & Analysis: Lead the identification, mapping, and analysis of existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.Impact Assessment & Tracking: Quantify potential impact of automation across quality of outcomes, time-to-market, productivity, capacity creation, and others and effectively track this impact across the organisation.Automation Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for process automation across departments, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.Tool Selection & Implementation: Select and implement process automation tools such as RPA, low-code/no-code platforms, and other technologies, ensuring optimal integration with existing systems.Continuous Improvement: Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of automation initiatives, continuously driving improvements and scaling automation efforts.Team Leadership: Build and manage a team of automation specialists, providing leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams (Tech, Operations, Finance, HR, etc.) to understand their process needs and collaborate on automation solutions.Change Management: Lead change management efforts, ensuring smooth transitions for teams and departments adopting automated processes.Required Qualifications & Experience: Proven experience in process mapping, lean methodology and automation within a fast-paced environment.Expertise in RPA (Robotic Process Automation) tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism, as well as other process automation technologies.Strong understanding of business processes across various departments (e.g., Finance, HR, Operations).Experience with low-code/no-code platforms is a plus.Ability to analyse data, measure performance, and drive continuous improvement.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex automation concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building, mentoring, and change management.Knowledge of AI-driven automation tools and techniques.Experience in agile project management and working in a cross-functional environment.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
