Our creatives may start the morning writing and designing infographics for Rainmaker sales decks. They may chat through scripts for an Xtra Savings benefit explainer video after lunch, and then end the day editing AI-generated subject lines across retail categories in Airtable – our glorified spreadsheet. In short, we're not afraid of hard work but remain fierce advocates for a healthy work-life balance.This copywriting role entails but is not limited to:Working with the creative team to create our omnichannel retail contentParticularly graphic designers, art directors, UX/UI designers, and animatorsIntegrating closely with the stakeholders to deliver omnichannel retail contentParticularly proof-readers, project managers, strategists, and brand managersInterpreting reporting data and creating content and infographics for RainmakerAssisting with concepts and copy ideas for the Sixty60 APPTaking responsibility for all written content in any allocated communication projectsTaking joint responsibility with your project teams for the quality & delivery of workBeing able to write in different styles taking into account the brand and audienceTranslating a brief and the strategic requirements into a compelling solutionUnpacking briefs to fully leverage opportunities for highly creative outputTaking ownership of tasks and the creative process to progress towards deadlineUnderstanding creative, artistic, and cultural trends & how to apply them to brandsBeing an integral part of ideation and creation - a thought-leader who is impactfulBeing able to impactfully present your team's work to leaders and stakeholdersHaving the ability to work within a team as well as independentlyRequirements:Verbal and written command of the English languageRelevant copywriting degree/diploma essentialAt least three-plus years' relevant work experience as a copywriterSolid understanding of digital platforms in conjunction with traditional channelsSolid portfolio showcasing both ATL and digital workStrong presentation skillsProficient in MS Office and TeamsProficient at juggling both in-office and remote working environmentsAdvantageous experience and skills/attributes:Verbal and written proficiency in any additional South African languagesA proven understanding of retail marketing and advertisingExperience with trafficking and timekeeping software e.g., Workbook/ChaseExperience working in cloud-based design platforms like Figma, Invision etc.Proficiency with design programmes like Photoshop, InDesign and even AftereffectsKnowledge regarding SEO and SEM, as well as AdWords, Analytics, and Reporting
