Together with the rest of the Registrar's Office, the Student Services Assistant provides front-line support and creates a welcoming environment for all prospective and current students.
As a member of the Registrar's Office, the Student Services Assistant will be committed to an equity that recognizes, supports, and responds to the diverse histories, lived and marginalized experiences of students and many communities.Your responsibilities will include:Responding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriateScheduling appointments for prospective students, applicants, and current students to address individual needsProviding detailed information on program and/or course eligibility requirements, procedures, policies and deadlinesProviding detailed information on processes, policies, and proceduresProviding detailed information regarding financial aid issuesTroubleshooting and resolving routine issuesProviding basic support and general referrals to individuals in distressEssential Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum two (2) years' of recent and related experience providing front-line registrarial student services support to a diverse student population in a post-secondary environment.Experience providing academic program information and working with prospective and undergraduate students.Experience providing financial aid and student awards/scholarships information, and guiding prospective and undergraduate students in completing applications.Experience reviewing requests and screening students for academic advising or short-term counselling appointments.Experience maintaining, identifying, and resolving anomalies with student records.Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g.
