Your opportunity:
Reporting to the Dean of Students, the Student Life and Wellness Coordinator (SLWC) supports the planning and implementation of programs designed to promote the well-being and active engagement of the College's students.
Your responsibilities will include: Determining logistical details and activities for events and/or programmingAnalyzing and recommending enhancements to student success programsImplementing plans and process improvements for program and service activitiesCoordinating tasks for projects and other strategic initiatives with stakeholdersLiaising with internal and external contacts to coordinate execution of seminars and workshopsOrganizing, summarizing and circulating program and/or course evaluationsFostering cooperative working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external contactsAdvising student groups on the development of clubs and societiesLiaising with internal contacts to ensure consistent administration of embedded student support servicesEssential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum two (2) years in student life programming, preferably in a college or university settingExperience with student-focused event planning, promotion, and executionExperience in the delivery and assessment of wellness-related educational programs and co-curricular activitiesExperience working with and advising students, student leaders and/or groups from diverse backgroundsExperience developing digital content for websites and other online platformsFamiliarity with orientation and transition, mentorship, and wellness programming in post-secondary contextsDemonstrated ability to provide sound guidance and advice to students, student leaders, and student organizations in a responsive, empathetic, thoughtful and discreet mannerDemonstrated time-management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize, multi-task and organize work, and meet tight deadlines while demonstrating excellent attention to detailsProficiency with Microsoft Office 365 programs (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)Proficiency using social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok) for student communications and outreach purposesAbility to exercise tact and sound judgement in dealing with others and difficult issuesExcellent interpersonal, listening, and written and oral communication skillsKnowledge and demonstrated application of equity, diversity, and inclusion principlesAbility to work some evenings and weekendsAssets (Nonessential): Knowledge of Innis CollegeTo be successful in this role you will be: AdaptableApproachableIntuitiveMeticulousPossess a positive attitudeResourcefulClosing Date: 11/08/2024, 11:59PM ET

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone: USW Pay Band 09 -- $66,715. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $85,319.
