Job title Student Administrator Assistant Functional relationship with Bursary Administrator & Student Support Administrator Key duties - Answering of calls - Helping students with all queries at front desk - Assisting with fitting uniforms and uniform orders - Booking students into residence and administration around this - Receiving cash and card payments and keeping record of payments for EFT and cash - Print student cards - Assist walk in customers - Ability to establish good working relations at all levels - Assist with printing, binding, cutting of documents etc. - Arrange courier services - Meet and greet all visitors to the campus - Ensure the campus office and reception area is welcoming, neat and tidy - Ensure that all student files are kept updated - Manage phone calls and direct all incoming calls - Maintain the general admin duties, responding to queries/direct quires as requested - Update new student on the student portal - Scanning and upload documents on the student portal - Assist with general order on campus e.g., orderings for housekeeper, arrangement of maintenance and ordering stationary - General administrative support for the management, administration team and lectures as required. - Excellent working knowledge with computer include MS office (Word, excel, outlook) - Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills - Ability to work independently - A pleasant manner with visitors and staff - Good organisation skills - Ability to multi-task Assistance to EXCO members - Welcome visitors - Take messages - Print and scan documentation - Make beverages - Hospitality of EXCO members and their guests - Any administrative or other tasks as requested any EXCO members Help with general duties of the Bursary Administrator Help with general duties of the Student Support Administrator Dress code: Business casual Meaning: Relating to or denoting a style of clothing that is less formal than traditional business wear, but is still intended to give a professional impression. No tekkies, sweatpants, hoodies etc. Fridays T-shirt or comp any t-shirt /golf shirt (no sweatpants and/or hoodies) Job Qualifications Education · A minimum of an Administration qualification or related field. Language · Proficiency in English (both written and spoken). · Fluency in at least one other African language is preferred. · Knowledge of Sign Language will be an added advantage. Work Experience · At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in higher education administration, student support, or a similar role. · Experience in student admissions and administration in Private Higher education Institutions Knowledge & Skills · Strong understanding of student administration processes, academic advising, or student affairs. · Proficiency in using office productivity software (e.g., MS Office) and student management systems.
