The Student Accounts Controller is responsible for responding to student queries, following up on outstanding student accounts, taking ownership of student accounts debtors book to bring down debtor's days and obtain payments. The successful incumbent will be comfortable with calling bad debtors and the collection of new debit orders. He/ She will be diligent in the preparation and sending off of pro forma invoices and statements on a termly basis and following up on payments /debits orders to finalise re-registration/re-enrolment.Responsibilities:The candidate will be required to perform various functions that would include:Responding to student queries within 48 hoursFollowing up on outstanding student accountsTaking ownership of student accounts debtors book to bring down debtor's days and obtain paymentsCalling bad debtors on a weekly basisCompleting spreadsheets on a weekly basis for completion of workAssisting with finance administration of re-registering and enrolling studentsCollection of new debit ordersLiaising with recruitment regarding deposit paymentsPreparation and sending off of pro forma invoices and statements to students on a termly basis and following up on payments/debits orders to finalise re-registration/re-enrolmentTaking ownership of the swipe machine and all transactions to be sent to Head officeCompiling refund forms with relevant documentation and emailing to Head Office for processingQualifications and Experience:5 years experience within a Debtors departmentProficient in Pastel/Computer Literate5 years Credit Control experienceAt least 2 years experience within the field of Higher EducationAccounting related degree or relevant qualificationPersonal Attributes:Excellent interpersonal communication skillsExcellent language skillsComputer literateGood time managementOrganisedMethodicalAnalyticalVersed on student account protocol and other related finance developmentsResponsibleAdaptableIntegrityReliableDiplomaticEthicalPassionate about their workTeam PlayerOperating Hours:This is a full-time position operating from Mondays to Fridays:Monday to Thursday: 08:30am to 17:00pmFriday: 08:30am to 16:00pm*This role will require the candidate to work flexible hours due to operational requirements, such as webinars in the evenings.Please upload a copy of your Identity Document and Curriculum Vitae along with your application.Closing date for applications is 18 December 2024, 17:00pm
