This position offers the perfect opportunity to escape the NYC commute while applying your skills in a dynamic team environment.Position OverviewThe Structured Cabling Estimator / Coordinator is responsible for preparing and submitting proposals for structured cabling, audio-visual (AV), and sound masking projects. Using Blue Beam software, the estimator will determine quantities, prepare detailed estimates, and manage multiple aspects of project coordination.Key Responsibilities:Project Estimation: Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and design documents.Software Use: Proficient use of Blue Beam software for project estimation and documentation.Time Management: Effectively manage deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment.Team Collaboration: Work independently while ensuring clear communication and coordination with team members, project managers, and field technicians.Communication: Provide clear, concise communication to internal teams, customers, and suppliers.Document Management: Organize and file project documents in Teams and ensure timely submission of submittals.Vendor & Material Coordination: Acquire vendor pricing, manage materials requirements, and ensure timely submission of purchase orders to accounting.Project Tracking: Track project deliverables, manage dependencies, and maintain documentation of project milestones.Field Support: Interact with field technicians and address field estimating questions.Customer Service: Maintain professionalism when engaging with internal and external stakeholders.Requirements for the PositionExperience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an estimator using Blue Beam software.Industry Knowledge: 2+ years of direct work experience in the low-voltage industry, with familiarity in telecommunications, AV, and sound masking product lines.Technical Skills: Strong understanding of technologies such as structured cabling, AV, sound masking, and IT systems.Software Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and comprehensive understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams.Project Management: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
