Structural Engineer

This position is responsible for providing professional services on projects within the department and for helping the Technical Director and Professionals/Consultants in the successful delivery of multidisciplinary projects.
Requirements · BEng/BSc/ BTech in Civil Engineering
· 5-7 years of professional experience.
· Registration as Candidate with ECSA.
· Knowledge of structural draughting/modelling packages (AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Structures).
· Competency in reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, and timber design.
· Knowledge of structural elemental and Finite element design packages (Prokon, Etabs, Frame, Safe, Tekla Structure Designer, etc) will be advantageous.
· Experience in commercial, industrial, or residential sector projects is advantageous.
Duties include but are not limited to: · Able to Lead a small team of Technicians/Draughtsmen on a project.
· Train Technicians/Draughtsmen in relevant software tools
· Review Contractor's claims and draft recommendations/ rulings/ determinations.
· Able to draft responses to straightforward bids (assistance sought with commercial aspects)
