Structural Designer

Details of the offer

Responsibilities:

Produce structural models and drawings in accordance with accepted Engineering practice and company drafting procedures.
Work in a safe manner, complying with and actively contributing to the company Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies, manuals, and procedures, considering the health, safety, and welfare of fellow workers, visitors, clients, community, and the environment.
Produce models and drawings on time and within budget.
Ensure clarity and accuracy of models and drawings.
Knowledge and adherence to design procedures and applicable standards.
Complete error-free drawings to sound engineering practices.
Accurate completion and timely submission of timesheets.
Actively pursue excellent Health, Safety, and Environmental performance standards, encouraging all staff to achieve or outperform the indicated HSE KPIs of the company.
Detailed design and production of structural models and drawings encompassing all aspects of a plant construction package in accordance with relevant standards and project requirements.
Timely completion of drawings to schedules and adherence to project man-hour budgets.
Adherence to company Standards and Procedures.

Qualifications:

Drafting qualification a minimum.
Diploma in engineering preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Minimum of 3 years design draughting experience, with 5 years in the mining and minerals processing area.
Familiarity with relevant 2D & 3D CAD software and company Drafting Procedures.
Experience using Tekla Structures or Aveva E3D preferred.
Broad knowledge of construction and operations.
Good understanding of technology.
Experience with Process Plant design and layout.
Understanding of other discipline requirements.
Checking skills with the ability to work unsupervised, focusing on task completion.
