The Structural BIM Modeler performs a variety of design activities including BIM modelling, design, preparing drawings for projects, clash detection, establishing guidelines and procedures and managing workload distribution within the BIM team. The incumbent must be familiar with the collaborative Autodesk Suite and Bentley Suite of design software tools. Proven competence in modelling Bridge and Civil Structures and be able to develop and interpret detail design work. The Structural BIM Modeler will be involved in automated design using Dynamo and the like, Navis works Clash detection and coordination of major infrastructure projects.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the modelling team to ensure that project deliverables are met in accordance with specifications and quality standardsAble to model using the following collaborative software tools;Bentley Suite - Microstation, AECOSIM, ProjectWise or AutoDesk Suite - Civil 3D, Navisworks, BIM 360, Revit as well as reinforcement packages such as CADS RCDevelop and interpret Bridge and Civil Structural modelling and designs including:Bridge and Culverts, clash detection and modelling for highways structures.Reinforcement detailing of structural elements in CADS RCCivil structures modeling in Revit or AECOSIMInteract and coordinate with other disciplines using NAVIS works or ITWINHEALTH AND SAFETYRole model standards for SHEQ performance and behaviour consistent with the company's health, safety, environmental and quality vision and policies by influencing those around youContributing to the identification of SHEQ risks and driving processes to achieve Zero HarmEmbracing, displaying and promoting the company values and ensuring a safe working environment is maintained at all timesETHICSAdhere to the highest standards of ethical behaviour aligned with the company policiesQualificationsMinimum 10 years' relevant experience in modelling of civil structuresHighly competent with structural engineering modeling using either AutoDesk Suite and Bentley related Bentley softwareMinimum 3 years' managing a project teamEE candidate preferred.KEY COMPETENCIES AND GENERIC SKILLS:Self-training ability, with an affinity to learn new design technologiesTaking ownership and being proactive in the working environmentPossess initiative and good interpersonal skillsMust be a collaborative team playerResilient under pressure to work independently from dispersed location whilst operating as a teamBe able to deliver on challenging projects that have tight timelines.Accuracy – Attention to detail and correctness of drawingsCommitted to delivering excellent levels of serviceAdditional InformationWhat if we can have work-life balance?
