Position Title: Storeperson: Drystores Position Type: Regular - Full-Time ? Position Location: Delmas Grade: Grade 02 Requisition ID: 29672 Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Storeperson in the Warehouse Department to be based at the McCain Delmas site, Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will report to the Dry Stores Controller. PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To ensure the effective and on time supply of necessary ingredients and materials to the plant in accordance with daily production requirements as per the plan of the shift manager and to assist with stock takes and off -boarding of all dry goods delivered to the plant dedicated for dry storage. This includes and does not exclude oil/batter/any dry ingredients needed by the plant to execute the daily plan. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Receive delivery note and reconcile to SAP. Receive stock on SAP, print out pallet labels and attach them to relevant pallets. Deliver pallets to correct stacking locations. Off load batter and reconcile delivery notes on SAP. Do cycle counts on batter stocks & stack batter in allocated locations. Receive oil deliveries and off-load oil deliveries, inspect inside tanker if all oil has been off loaded. Ensure all deliveries are captured on SAP. Ensure production requirements are attained and delivered on time. Work with maintenance & production on planning of shuts and combining stock takes in dry goods. Find opportunities to explore bulk deliveries of dry goods to ensure cost saving. Monitor the rack and forklift abuse, fill in forklift daily register. Communicate accidents, forklift abuse and operational issues to the Team Leader. Ensuring all documentation are captured and in place for AIB audit. Monitors conformance to FiFO (First-In-First-Out) best practices on cartons/poly/batter/dry goods. Monitor and audit, adjust as necessary on all incoming inventory. REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 or equivalent. Knowledge of Excel. 2 years' experience in a similar role with inventory control as a focus. Valid High Reach forklift license. Valid Counter-Balance license (Forklift license). Ability to work under pressure. Willingness to work shifts. The closing date for all applications is 14 May 2024.
