Storeman

Our client is looking for a senior Storeman with extensive experience in workshop store department functions and truck and truck trailer parts.
Responsibilities:Manage and oversee the daily operations of the workshop store department.Receive, inspect, and store incoming parts and materials, ensuring accuracy and quality.Maintain inventory records and ensure stock levels are adequate to meet workshop needs.Process and fulfill parts and materials requests from technicians and other departments.Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.Ensure proper labeling, organization, and storage of all parts and materials.Coordinate with suppliers to order and replenish stock as needed.Utilize computer systems to manage inventory, track orders, and generate reports.Train and mentor junior store staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and procedures.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.Key Skills:Proficiency in managing workshop store department functions.Strong understanding of truck and truck trailer parts.Excellent organizational and inventory management skills.Computer literacy, with proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.Experience in a senior storeman role or similar position.Strong computer skills, including experience with inventory management systems.Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for store management.Ability to lift and move heavy parts and materials as required.Qualifications:Minimum of 7 years of experience in a workshop store department, with a focus on truck and truck trailer parts.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
