Responsible for managing all functions of stock and equipment and ensuring all stock is monitored, accounted, and recorded accordingly: Duties and Responsibilities but not limited: Check for accuracy and record the return of all spares from Field Technicians and suppliers, whether new or faultyCheck for accuracy and record the receipt of all new and serviced/repaired spares into stockPlace all receipted spares into the correct holding areas in Stores depending on whether they are new or faulty, and whether they are going for repairs or notIssue and record all spares given to Field Technicians for boot stock, ensuring always that any such requests for boot stock are justified, controlled and monitoredEnsure that for all new spares issued to Field Technicians there is a corresponding return to Stores of the faulty swapped-out sparesWhere Field Technicians cannot account for swapped-out spares this must immediately be brought to the attention of managementAssign and distribute spares on a weekly basis to External Service Providers branches and Agents nationally, ensuring that the correct types and quantities are despatched timeously in order to avoid both over-stocking and under-stockingKeep accurate records of all despatched spares in order to check and ensure that the necessary quantities of faulty swapped-out spares are returned to StoresReceive and record all spares returned from External Service Providers branches or Agents nationally, sorting these into the correct areas in StoresMonitor the stockholding of all spares nationally to ensure that orders for the replenishment of spares as required to avoid stock-outs are placed timeouslyConduct monthly stock counts of all spares held in Stores on dates provided by the Operations Inventory ManagerCompile a report of all the stock counts done nationally and submit this to management.Ensure that Stores is kept neat and tidy at all times, and that all spares are stored in a manner that protects them from any damage.Ensure that all paperwork is kept up-to-date and that it is filed dailyEnsure that all the necessary Health and Safety protocols are always adhered to, and immediately report to the Operations Inventory Manager any unsafe situations, conditions or practices in the Stores area.Required to work overtime on an ad-hoc basis.
