Maximize sales and control expenses2.
Stock control and stock – take weekly3.
Complete store operational requirements by:1.
Scheduling and assigning employees;2. following up on work results4.
Maintain store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees5.
Maintain store staff results by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results6.
Prepare annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiate corrective actions7.
Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements8.
Ensure availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts; maintaining inventories9.
Secure merchandise by monitoring security systems and measures10.
Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment11.
Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements12.
Set up effective marketing displays for the sales floor and store windows13.
Manage all controllable costs to keep operations profitable14.
Analyze sales figures and forecast future sales15.
Analyze and interpret trends to facilitate planning16.
Respond to customer complaints and comments17.
Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing18.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures19.
Any other duties as and when may be required by Area Manager/Ops Manager
