The Stockbroker Support Specialist will be responsible for providing support to the stockbroker application and processes throughout Glacier International. This includes the daily end user support on issues requiring specialist attention, including Client Services, Investment Admin and Regional Sales teams, as well as managing the system development life cycle for changes and updates.
Key outcomesThe following outcomes will be expected to be achieved by the Stockbroker Support specialist in Glacier International:
Monitor that the immediate and medium-term business needs are being addressed by the system and operational development initiativesAnalyse business operations with clients' needsAct as a leading advisor and subject matter expert when it comes to Glacier International stockbroker onboarding, maintenance, end to end operational processes, systems and functionality thereofDefine areas for enhancements that are aligned with system development life cycleConstantly reviewing current processes to deliver optimal efficiencyDevelop, maintain and review system documentation (Processing standards)Facilitate system and operational forums and workshopsProject manage system upgrades and restructuring ito communication, training and supportProject manage all new development within any system and the roll out of new functionalityCommunicate to internal parties and system vendors on a continual basisResolve escalated incidents and critical problem areas within operationsLiaise with other teams to understand their needs and ensure they are fully informed of operational objectives, purposes, development plans in the pipeline and achievementsEnsure the stockbroker application is in optimal working orderKeep abreast of the issue logs of all user/system issues and their resolutionsManage all non-conformance with System vendors and ensure prompt resolutionBuild on processes and procedures that follow the best practice of Glacier InternationalQualifications and experienceRelevant tertiary qualification Finance, Information Systems or equivalent2-3 years working experience in Financial Services preferably with International and SA tax laws experienceProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and IMS administration systemBroad understanding of systems, procedures and processes in Glacier InternationalAnalytical thinking and problem solvingResults driven and attention to detailBe resilientSound judgementAbility to plan, schedule and organize in a systematic and orderly mannerStrong interpersonal skills, being supportive and patient with usersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAttributesSelf-motivatedHonesty, integrity and respectTeam playerAbility to perform work under pressure and adapt to changeResilience and TenacityAssertive and confidentBuild a successful career with usWe're all about building strong, lasting relationships with our employees.
