Stock/Demand Planner

Role Overview: We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing product stock levels, forecasting demand to ensure optimal stock availability across all retailers, and managing orders with suppliers. This role involves identifying trends, adjusting pricing strategies, and optimizing sell-through rates and stock cover to maximize business efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
•Analysis of sales data, market trends and other factors to forecast demand accurately
•Work with sales, marketing and product development teams to understand product movements and incorporate promotional activities, product launches and other factors into demand forecasts
• Work closely with suppliers and the procurement team to place timely orders, ensuring stock availability meets forecasted demand
• Regularly review and adjust forecasts based on actual sales performance, market trends, and changes in customer demand.
• Identify opportunities for pricing adjustments and strategies to improve sell-through rates and inventory turnover.
• Participate in the S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process, ensuring alignment between sales forecasts, production plans, and inventory levels.
Requirements and Skills:
• Proven experience in demand planning, stock planning, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Proficiency in demand planning software and Excel; knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams.
• Ideal: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Accounts or other commerce-related fields.
