Stock Controller/Stock Manager

Stock Controller/Stock Manager Our client is a Stretch Tent Manufacturing company based in Cape Town. They are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Stock Controller/Stock Manager to manage their inventory and ensure optimal stock levels. As a Stock Controller, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the company's stock levels to meet business needs.
Responsibilities Forecast supply and demand: Prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS) situations.Enter purchase details: Record vendor information, invoices, and pricing into internal databases.Place orders: Replenish merchandise as needed.Track shipments: Address any delays promptly.Oversee storage: Especially for fragile items.Evaluate suppliers' offers: Negotiate profitable deals.Coordinate inventory audits: Regularly assess stock levels.Liaise with warehouse staff and internal teams: Test product quality upon delivery and storage conditions.Maintain updated inventory records: Including daily shipments.Ensure purchases stay within budget.Requirements and Skills Proven work experience: As a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager, or in a similar role.Very disciplined and organised.Good understanding of supply chain procedures.Working knowledge of inventory management software.Active participation in inventory audits.Excellent organizational skills.Effective communication and negotiation abilities.Remuneration: Between R13 000 and R15 000 cost to company based on experience.
