Stock Controller | Sandton – JHB | Trendy Coffee Brand We are looking for experienced STOCK CONTROLLER to join the team of a growing, trendy coffee brand.
The position is based in Sandton – at Morningside Shopping Centre and the Head Office in Kramerville.
Stock Controller will report to the Ops Manager.
Requirements: At least 2 years of experience as Stock Controller in F&B Relevant qualifications and training Contactable references Job Description Stock control Perform daily/weekly/monthly stock takes as required in all stores as well as head office. Conduct spot checks in all stores when deemed necessary. Monitor and track all in/out stock transfers between all stores. Observe wastage in all stores to ensure it remains under set budgets as prescribed in your report. Ensure all capturing of invoices is done correctly, and all errors are fixed weekly as creditors are processed. Randomly check that stores are following prescribed receiving practices and procedures. Run stock investigations on any problems identified with stock items in stores, reporting on the outcome to the operations team. Creditors checks Assist the accounts team with their weekly creditor's checks, ensuring that any errors are corrected to maintain control over costs and quantities of stock in-store. Work with the accounts team to ensure that all creditors are paid weekly and maintain a positive relationship with them. Check that accounts do not fall behind and get frozen/blocked due to failure to capture invoices in stores. Sales checks Perform random checks on specific items in all stores periodically to ensure sales are accurate. GAAP (POS System) Stay up-to-date with any developments in the GAAP system. Ensure all stores are online and that their data is being transferred into the WebApp as required. Attend refresher training courses at GAAP when necessary. Practice and utilize as many features of the GAAP system to ensure familiarity with its functions and keep in contact with their support team for assistance. Suppliers Monitor costs for stock paid by stores and flag any changes to the team. Maintain contact with suppliers and foster a favorable relationship. Look out for specials, deals, price-cuts, and rebate possibilities. Stores Be present in all stores as required to support store managers. Learn how the Cape Town store operates and how stock moves in/out. Understand how the GAAP system in the Cape Town store is set up for daily counts, spot checks, and stock-takes. Budgets Maintain and update your stock report weekly, sharing it with all stores upon completion. Monitor stock department budgets and ensure store managers adhere to them closely. Aim for a target of 30% or below food cost overall. Close off the report monthly and save it in the shared Google Drive with the operations team. The Weekly Meeting Attend weekly meetings to present your completed report and note any important takeaways for clear communication. Request meetings with specific stores or teams as needed. Attend the weekly HQ team meeting as well. Stock Deductions Produce monthly stock deduction reports following mid-month stock takes to recover stock losses through payroll. Ensure all details of team sizes and other relevant information are updated monthly with staff movements. Daily Reports Checking Pull specific reports for all stores daily to identify any errors that may affect GP, stock holding quantities, or figures. Start: ASAP
