Are you in?JOB PURPOSETo control all inbound Production stock processes to optimize inventory and service levels across the warehouse.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESInventory OptimizationImplement inventory level benchmarks at 85% in terms of optimal stock cover across all warehouses.Conduct stock takes to ensure reconciliation between records and actuals.Conduct daily cycle counts.Control stock level days in accordance with Company standards.Proactively identify and report on non-compliances regarding stock integrity, damages, food safety, and returns on bin placements, engaging with applicable role-players within the warehouse to address misalignment and resolve promptly.Identify and facilitate the exit of stock items that could pose a risk of expiration and/or redundancy by communicating with the Logistics Manager.Analyze and implement corrective measures to stabilize inbound flow and inventory peaks.Control the allocation of put-away, picking, and monitoring HITW.Control returns claims relating to non-conforming products from principals/QA on the floor and senior management.Facilitate and follow up on product recall and isolation instructions for Principles stock to be on QA hold or Stock block.Identify and report dating stock, damages, and odd batches.Monitor fresh execution on production in the chiller to ensure order confirmation is correct prior to loading on the packing exception report.Effective Teamwork and Self-ManagementTake ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning and prioritizing, and self-development.Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of work are consistently and accurately maintained.Inform relevant parties in the event of tasks or deadlines not met, the potential risks thereof and provide appropriate resolution.Manage colleagues, forklift, and Reach truck drivers' expectations and communicate appropriately on daily tasks and Company toolbox talks on procedures, GMPs, and food safety.Demonstrate willingness to help others and "go the extra mile" to meet team targets and objectives.Build relationships with Principles on site.KEY RELATIONSHIPSProduction planning teamProcessing / packingEngineering teamSHEQ / QA and risk managementFinance teamPrinciples on siteOnsite Service providers (Eco wise / Phakisa and Stores)Qualifications and ExperienceDiploma or at least one-year certificate in Warehouse/Logistics ManagementValid Code EB drivers' licence3 years relevant experience in a FMCG distribution and storage environmentSkills and CompetenciesSystem skills (SAP MM and BW, MS Office skills prerequisite)Verbal and written communicationComputer literacyInterpersonalLogical thinkingAnalytical thinkingNumeracyOrganizational awareness
