Key Responsibilities:Inventory Management:Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure that stock is available when needed.Conduct regular stock takes and reconcile physical stock with system records.Identify discrepancies and investigate any issues related to stock variances.Order Management:Process and track incoming and outgoing orders.Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods.Coordinate with the purchasing department to manage reordering processes.Stock Handling and Storage:Ensure that stock is stored safely and efficiently.Implement and maintain effective stock rotation practices.Oversee the loading and unloading of goods.Record Keeping:Maintain accurate records of stock movements, including goods received, issued, and returned.Update inventory management systems with real-time data.Prepare reports on stock levels, usage patterns, and potential shortages.Quality Control:Inspect goods for quality and report any damaged or defective items.Ensure that all stock is labeled and stored according to company standards.Compliance:Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper storage of hazardous materials.Adhere to company policies and procedures related to inventory management.Team Coordination:Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations.Train and supervise junior staff involved in stock handling.Minimum Qualifications and Experience:Minimum qualification of a National Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field; Bachelors degree would be advantageous.3 to 5 years of experience in a stock control or inventory management role.Experience with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Syspro) is preferred.How to Apply:If you meet the criteria and are prepared for a stimulating and fulfilling career opportunity, we encourage you to apply directly or contact Pabalelo Morena.
