Steel Buyer - Steel Retail Industry

Hire Resolve's client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Steel Buyer to join their team in the steel retail industry in Gauteng.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and a good understanding of the steel market.
Responsibilities: Source and purchase a variety of steel products based on company needs and budget requirements.
Establish relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing and terms of agreements.
Monitor market trends and pricing to ensure competitive advantage.
Coordinate with internal departments to determine steel requirements and order quantities.
Manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback for improvement.
Develop and maintain a database of suppliers and their product offerings.
Requirements Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, in the steel industry.
Knowledge of steel products, grades, and specifications.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other procurement software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Valid driver's license and own transportation.
