Stay SpecialistOur client in the Travel Industry is looking for a dynamic, organized, and detail-oriented Stay Specialist to join their team based in Stellenbosch.Overall Job Summary:Primary responsibility will be to book accommodations on behalf of travel agents.This position requires excellent math skills. While previous travel industry experience is not mandatory, a background in customer service is desirable. Empathy, organization, level-headedness, multitasking ability, attention to detail, and a strong service-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Booking accommodations for travel agents simultaneously ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Assisting travel agents in selecting suitable accommodations based on their clients' preferences and requirements.Performing mathematical calculations related to bookings (for example: rates, taxes, commissions).Providing excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering recommendations.Maintaining organized records of bookings, client information, and correspondence.Collaborating with the Reservations Team to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.Staying current with industry trends, destination information, and accommodation options.Participating in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in the travel and hospitality industry.Qualification and Experience Requirements:Matric qualification with a minimum average of 65% (math skills are essential).Previous experience in customer service is preferred.Excellent empathy and interpersonal skills.Strong verbal and written communication abilities.Exceptional organizational skills and detail-oriented.Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Service-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences to clients.Flexible to work Monday to Friday, within designated shifts.Availability for after-hours emergency line rotation (one week every ten weeks).Computer literate and knowledge of relevant software applications.Salary Range: Basic Salary R20 000-R25 000 with an additional commission structure.Please apply online if you meet the above-mentioned requirements.Please consider your application as unsuccessful if you have not been contacted within 4 weeks.
