Company DescriptionWe have an exciting position for a Standards Officer. Standards Officer Engineering is responsible to prepare, issue, maintain and review all controlled documentation, codes of practices, procedures and standards regarding Mining operations and standards.

Job DescriptionJob responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Consistently apply Safety & Health principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities.Identify specific risks within working area and adhere to discipline-specific plans/system to avoid these risks.Co-ordinate preparation and issuing of new documentation.Receive and review requests for amendments.Withdraw and destroy all obsolete controlled documentation.Maintain a historical record copy of all controlled documentation issues.Attendance and contribution at Standards Committee Meetings.Communicate latest changes in controlled documentation, procedures, standards and code of practice.Monitor adherence to relevant legal requirements.Make Audit Control document available to senior management for scrutiny.Ensure documentation data is updated monthly.Notify relevant HOD should due date expire without action being taken.Distribute and discuss applicable Gazette changes to management.Comply with environmental and social requirements as relevant to discipline.Participate in all team engagements where required.This role is at a Band 7 Level, reporting to the Compliance Officer. QualificationsMatricRelevant technical tertiary qualification or diplomaExperience: 5 years mine experienceExtensive Engineering standards and legislative knowledgeBasic financial metrics, cost and value management & budgeting toolsRisk management techniques and critical controlsSafety, health and environment, legislative, statutory, regulatory and permitting requirementsAdvanced competence in Company systems and related legislationAdvanced Computer literacy skillsAdvanced communication and interpersonal skillsAdvanced mining standards and legislative knowledgeAdditional InformationWho We Are
