Minimum Qualification: Degree in Communication/Marketing/Journalism or equivalent (NQF 7)
Minimum Experience: 7 years post graduate experience in broad-spectrum in marketing, corporate communications, planning, stakeholder relations and media relations, 5 years at management level.
Key Outputs: Reporting to the Manager Office of the Chief Executive, the employee will: Develop, manage and execute integrated communications Develop an integrated marketing and communications strategy for the organisation with appropriate plans, policies and procedures Coordinate marketing and communication programmes across the organisation Provide strategic support in all marketing and communication related matters Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, government institutions and community groups Develop stakeholder engagement techniques and best practices for building and maintaining relationships. Ability to network extensively with political and business leaders Develop the media relations strategy, policy and programmes Develop, manage and execute effective media relations Act as the spokesperson and key media liaison for Amatola Water Facilitate development of appropriate responses to media enquiries Develop, manage and coordinate the production of corporate publications Conceptualise and lead the development, production, printing and distribution of internal and external publications, including print and electronic media – items such as Newsletters, the Integrated Annual Report and Business Plan Identify appropriate and effective supplementary communication channels to maximise the dissemination of corporate communication Develop, manage and coordinate the organisation's public relations initiatives Lead all public relations activities including community engagements and public awareness programmes. Conceptualise and manage all Amatola Water internal events Develop, manage and coordinate all Web and Social Media activities Develop and manage the organisation's web and social media activities and platforms, such as: Website, Intranet, Social media pages Manage the organisation's Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives Manage financial resources Maintain and improve motivation and performance of staff to achieve maximum productivity
