Are you interested in innovating to deliver Amazon's experience to new customers across Africa? We are looking for a dynamic and talented Senior Product Manager-Technical. Joining means partnering with a dynamic and creative group who set a high bar for innovation and success in a fast-paced and changing environment. This person should have broad experience with technology products that measure, evaluate, and enhance the shopping experience for consumers.
You will identify industry, customer, and technology trends, which will help define our roadmap and influence current and future products for Amazon. Leveraging your technical skill-set, leverage a variety of methodologies to drive studies across multiple categories (e.g. consumer electronics, apparel) and tech teams (e.g., search, personalization) partnering with senior business leaders in developing and improving the shopping experience on Amazon.
Key job responsibilities:
Product Management: Lead large and complex studies, including scope alignment with business leaders, design, data collection and analysis, recommendations and presenting results to senior leaders.Customer Research and Analytics: Use quantitative and qualitative methodologies to measure consumer shopping trends and behavior.Technology Acumen: Design tech assessments, deep dives and research to understand technology and underlying systems.Process Improvement: Continuously innovate and improve process to optimize efficiencies.Manage ambiguity: Understand complex business problems across business units, geographies and product lines to create hypotheses and translate this into analysis requirements and identify meaningful insights.Stakeholder Management: Build strong relations with internal stakeholders to understand priorities, define our roadmap and to collaborate and work with them on studies and actions to implement product and service solutions.Innovation: Identify, track, and monitor industry/experience trends and drivers of customer satisfaction. Develop new tools, methodologies, and/or standards for measuring customer experience.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree or equivalentProduct or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experiencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMaster's degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, operations research, business analytics, information systems or equivalentUnderstands the reasons for architecture decisions behind a product or feature and capable of holding an engineering team to a high standard for product solutions.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
