Sql Dba (Sa Contract)

A corporate client based in SA is seeking an Intermediate SQL DBA as follows
Responsibilities: Join a team that manages their MS SQL Server instances (on prem and Azure)Work with Dev teams to design and implement DB Schema changesManage DB security and implement latest SP updates / patchesAutomate DB Backup / Restore / DRM functions as much as possibleManage data integrity, security, availability with scripts etc.Optimize DB performance to prevent long running QueriesSkills Required: At least 4-5 yrs pure SQL DBA exp. (not as part of a Dev position)With SQL DBA Consulting exp. (rather than working in-house)Azure SQL exp. and HA (High Availability) SQL cluster exp. is idealMS cert's and an IT degree will be advantageous (not required)Work Arrangement: Contract: 12 month full time contract (renewable) starting ASAPHybrid work: 1-2 days / week on-site during normal business hoursLocation: Their offices are in Gauteng, Cape Town and in DurbanAdditional office visits may be required on an ad hoc basisWeekly standby rotation will be requiredPlease complete the application form below to apply
