Sports Administrator

Required: Must be able to teach Physical Education.Reporting to: the PrincipalDuties required:Controlling Sports ProgrammeControlling Sports EventsCoaching in various Sporting DisciplinesLiaising with parents, students, and visitors to the campusSports Equipment – budgeting and managementSports Coaches – ManagementPhysical Education Teacher – Grade 8 to 12Organisation of sporting events – Official League Matches and Interhouse and Internal EventsCompetencies/Skills/Requirements:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, students, and parentsEnergetic, self-motivated, and able to use own initiativeGood organisational and administrative skillsComputer literacyMust be a team playerFirst Aid Training would be requiredWillingness to accompany teams to sporting fixturesSkilled in Coaching and Refereeing/UmpiringQualifications:Minimum requirement is a recognised Degree and/or a diploma in Sports' Management or Teaching Qualification with Physical Education as a subject completed. SACE registration would be advantageous.Experience:Minimum of 3 years' experience in the same and/or similar type of position and environment. Ability to coach sports is essential. Experience in the organisation of sporting events.
