The Splunk ITSI Specialist will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and ongoing management of the Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) platform. This role requires a deep understanding of ITSI, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and performance of IT services. ResponsibilitiesImplementation & Configuration: Responsible for Design, implementation, and configuration of Splunk ITSI to meet the business needs. Develop and configure key performance indicators (KPIs), service health scores, and service monitoring dashboards. Monitoring and Analytics by integrating data from various sources into Splunk ITSI. Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor the performance and health of services (viz. IT) using Splunk ITSI. Regular maintenance and updates to the ITSI platform to ensure optimal performance. Problem Troubleshooting and resolution of issues related to Splunk ITSI and related data sources. Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze data to identify trends, irregularities and potential problems affecting IT services. Create reports and visualizations to provide insights into service health and performance. Develop custom dashboards and alerts to support proactive monitoring and incident response. Collaboration & Support: Work closely with IT operations, development, and security teams to understand their monitoring needs and implement appropriate solutions in Splunk ITSI. Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively use Splunk ITSI. Participate in on-call rotations and provide support during major incidents. Qualifications: Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience working with Splunk, including at least 2 years with Splunk ITSI. Strong understanding of IT service management (ITSM) principles and practices. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Splunk, including data ingestion, field extraction, search processing, and dashboard creation. Experience with ITSI modules, including KPI creation, service health scorecards, and glass tables. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and data integration techniques. Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Preferred Qualifications: Splunk certifications such as Splunk Core Certified Power User or Splunk ITSI Certified Admin. Experience in a DevOps or Agile environment. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
