The Speech Pathologist Lead will provide oversight and serve as point person for the clinical staff in their discipline.
Participate in the hiring process and provide orientation for new hires.
They will assist the manager in developing and executing competencies for their specific discipline.
They will maintain the waitlist for their discipline and coordinate with volunteer services to staff and oversee volunteers.
They will facilitate the ordering of materials.

GENERAL DUTIES Onboarding and Training of new staff:
- Assist with hiring and orienting new staff.
- Assist with clinical educational requirements for staff, including completion of hospital defined competencies.
- Assist rehab manager with completion of clinical competency in specific discipline.
Coordinate Volunteers for area:
- Establish and maintain volunteer schedules in the area of practice.
Coordinate supplies and ordering for area:
- Coordinating ordering of supplies, forms and test materials with designated person to complete orders.
Patient Care:
- Provide patient care in specific discipline maintaining defined productivity requirements.
Clinical Resource for Department:
- Keep current with trend and maintain professional growth and licensure.
- Act as go to person for discipline or area specific general questions.
Other Duties as assigned:
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS 5 years of experience Speech pathology LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS Licensed in Speech Therapy/Pathology by Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS Does this position formally supervise employees?
