Business unit, Department, Reporting Business Unit CFO Department Legal, Risk & Compliance Job grade/level S5 Core Description Ensuring ethical business practices, regulatory compliance, and providing expert legal guidance across the organization be proactive in mitigating legal risks and enhancing compliance initiatives.
Key Deliverables / Primary Functions • Develop, review, and update company compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Provide legal advice to management and staff on a wide range of issues, including contracts, corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring they align with organizational interests and legal standards.
• Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations, ensuring the organization remains compliant and implementing necessary policy updates.
• Identify potential legal and compliance risks, developing strategies to mitigate them and providing recommendations for risk management practices.
• Assist in the resolution of disputes and litigation, collaborating with external counsel as needed.
• Conduct training sessions for employees on legal issues, compliance, and best practices to foster a culture of legal and ethical awareness.
• Assist with the implementation, management, and monitoring of the company's compliance program, aligning it with changes in legislation.
• Regularly measure the effectiveness of compliance policies and identify opportunities for improvement, updating the program accordingly.
• Stay updated on legal developments relevant to the industry, conducting research and providing analyses to inform strategic decisions.
• Manage and report on all compliance-related activities, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Certifications Professional Memberships in Relevant Industry Level of Engagement & Span of Control Span of Control 0 Level of Engagement Engagement will all levels within the organisation, internal and external to the business.
