Derivatives Clearing Specialists are responsible for:Client service and query managementRisk managementSettlement of daily JSE margin callsMonitoring of client exposure against available fundsClearing and understanding of products across different markets:Commodity DerivativesEquity DerivativesInterest Rate and Currency DerivativesAcceptance and allocation of derivative trades from interdealer brokers obo offshore clientsShift rotation according to different market closing times.Operational duties:Process daily cash settlements and transfer instructionsEngagement with clients and stakeholdersBalancing the daily JSE derivatives clearing markets and electronic reporting.Reconciliation of daily trade dataPosition and deal managementOnboarding of clientsReconcile internal Derivatives Clearing cash account (house account)Month end processesAttend and resolve client queries, requests and instructionsPrepare payment for physical deliveries on commodity market and email notices to clientsQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Type of Qualification: First DegreeField of Study: Business CommerceExperience Required:3-4 years of Derivatives Clearing experience3-4 years in Transaction Banking3-4 years demonstrating understanding of single market trends and contributing to the identification and implementation of multiple market enhancing solutions.3-4 years demonstrating knowledge of the macro landscape for the local market i.e. inflation/legislative impacts/triggers.3-4 years with seasoned understanding of Transaction Banking and assigned solutioning area, and a basic understanding of the CIB business.3-4 years working with and across teams to ensure that the client experience is realized.Will be required to work shifts in line with the business requirements.Additional InformationBehavioral Competencies:Adopting Practical Approaches, Articulating Information, Checking Details, Embracing Change, Generating Ideas, Interpreting Data, Managing Tasks, Producing Output, Pursuing Goals, Seizing Opportunities, Showing Composure, Upholding Standards.Technical Competencies:Client Business Case, Market Analysis, Operational Planning, Product Development, Product Knowledge (Business Banking), Risk Management, Stakeholder Management.Please note: All our recruitment processes comply with the applicable local laws and regulations.
