Special Project Technician

Our client is seeking a Qualified Boilermaker with projects experience to join the Continuous Improvement Department.ResponsibilitiesIdentify and monitor progress on all refurb jobs across all Production areas, ensuring that all problems are identified and resolved as soon as possible in order that the product is not excessively delayed in any area/work centre.Ensure all refurb jobs do not encounter the same problems.Decide on solutions with the relevant personnel and implement such solutions with immediate effect.Liaise with the relevant departments including the drawing office, engineering, production, sales & Marketing, Material Control and PurchasingInitiate ECR's where necessaryAttend pre-Production meetings and arrange Check Point meetingsUnderstand the tank container manufacturing process and refurbs.Good interpretation of technical documentationPerform all other indicative tasks as requiredEssential RequirementsMust be a Qualified Red Seal Boilermaker5 or more years' experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsMust be able to work in heights and confined spacesMust be prepared to work overtime and shifts when requiredBe prepared to undergo written and verbal assessment
