Luxury Boutique Hotel in the Franschhoek area has a vacancy for a Sous Chef.

Previous Experience in a fine dining/ luxury boutiqe property essential.
The position is live-out and will require Western Cape based chefs to do a in-person interview and cook off in the Franschhoek region.
Will be responsible and accountable for all aspects related to the kitchen operation.
Requirements:
· Culinary hospitality diploma and matric certificate
· 3 years' experience in the role
· Front-of-house service sequence management experience
· Exceptional Communication skills (verbal and written)
· Experience in management and disciplinary skills
· Extensive knowledge of food and culinary trends
· Motivated, energetic, creative, passionate
Responsibility:
· Menu planning, costing, and pricing and special occasions offering
· Administration and planning operation needs: rosters, orders, checking and receiving deliveries
· Ensure the department maintains health, hygiene, and safety standards and all certificates are up to date
· Training of staff on menus, standards, and maintaining quality
· Ensure all operating standards are met and consistency in food preparation & presentation is maintained
· Management of kitchen and front-of-house operations including standards and sequence of service
· Motivate and lead the team to reach set goals
· Ensuring all department revenue targets are achieved as per budget
· Ensure stock and wastage control procedures are maintained
· Ensure performance reports and updates on the department are compiled (expenses and revenue)
· Ensure all guests' requests and complaints are attended to timeously
