Where exceptional people and exceptional opportunity awaits.What We're Looking For:The Bay Hotel with the majestic Twelve Apostle Mountain range as a backdrop and the Atlantic Ocean less than a minutes' walk away, in the heart of glitzy Camps Bay has a position for a Sous Chef to join their team of extraordinary people.What Is Required:As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in the culinary team, working directly under the Executive Chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences that align with our luxury standards. You will assist in managing the kitchen operations, overseeing food preparation, and ensuring that every dish meets the high standards of quality, presentation, and flavor that our guests expect.Your role involves a combination of culinary creativity, kitchen management, and leadership. You will be responsible for supporting the Executive Chef in menu planning, maintaining high levels of food safety and hygiene, and ensuring smooth and efficient kitchen operations.Minimum Requirements:• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role.• Relevant Hospitality diploma / experience• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.• Familiarity with kitchen equipment, safety standards, and food hygiene regulations.• 2+ years of experience in a similar role preferably in a luxury hotel sectorCompetencies / Skills: Communication: Verbal Communication and Comprehension – Expert English Standard / Other languages an advantageCognition/thinking: Analysis / Reasoning / Strong Decision making & judgement skillsPersonal effectiveness: Self-Management / Stress Tolerance / Attention to detailInteraction with others: Influencing others – Leadership / TeamworkReady to Join?
