A beautiful estate in Franschhoek is seeking a skilled Sous Chef with expertise in the Hot Station. This role is perfect for an experienced culinary professional who enjoys working in a medium-sized restaurant and delivering exceptional food quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all aspects of the hot station during service.
Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development and preparation.
Ensure smooth kitchen operations during shifts, including staff coordination.
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
Assist with inventory management, stock control, and kitchen cleanliness.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed.
Requirements:
SA ID
Proven, recent experience as a Sous Chef, with a focus on the hot station.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
A team player with strong leadership abilities.
Willingness to work shifts, including evenings on Thursday and Friday.
Passion for creating high-quality dishes and working under pressure.
