Exciting Opportunity: Sous Chef - Banqueting Team
Kendrick Recruitment is thrilled to offer a remarkable opportunity for a talented Sous Chef to join the prestigious banqueting team at a renowned leisure and lifestyle destination in George, nestled in the heart of the Garden Route.

Sous Chef (Banqueting Team)
Location:

Passion for Culinary Arts:
A genuine enthusiasm for the culinary industry with a commitment to excellence.
High-Pressure Environment:
Ability to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment.
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, engaging personality.
Effective Communication:
Proficient in communicating effectively with colleagues, superiors, and guests.
Qualifications:
Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4 certificate, with at least 6 months of formal chef's training.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Chef De Partie in a 4*/5* environment.
Skills:
Experience in fine dining, food ordering, costing, and proficiency in MS Office. Chef's Diploma, HACCP certification, and familiarity with SAP are advantageous.
Physical & Mental Fitness:
Capability to perform job duties efficiently and maintain high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Quality:
Deliver top-quality food and ensure all banqueting outlets receive dishes as per requirements.
Menu Planning:
Assist in menu planning and contribute to the overall culinary strategy.
Cost Management:
Monitor and control food costs, manage portion sizes, and maintain budgetary adherence.
Team Management:
Oversee staff performance, including training, motivation, and disciplinary actions.
Stock Control:
Maintain par stock levels, conduct daily ordering, and perform food and equipment counts.
Guest Satisfaction:
Foster effective interdepartmental communication to anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
