Client OverviewReference: FRD000222-KB-1Client based in Mpumalanga seeks the services of a Sourcing Specialist – Order Fulfilment Specialist (Expeditor) responsible for managing supplier schedules, purchase orders, and general reporting of supplier activities to ensure the scope of work is delivered safely, according to customers' quality requirements, on time, and within budget.
This role also involves managing and reporting any risks associated with purchase orders that might affect projects and customers.Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsure Supplier Order Fulfilment (On Time Delivery, In Full Delivery).Ensure the orders are delivered with the right quality and within budget.
Manage and monitor suppliers' manufacturing schedules and report progress updates to internal stakeholders.Technical Procurement/Sourcing and Expediting.Support suppliers' product development.Sourcing and execution of projects to ensure availability of maintenance spares and parts.Coordinate engineering documentation required by the suppliers with the Engineering department (specifications, drawings, etc.
).Finance alignment on cash milestone recognition.Coordinate commercial supplier inquiries and support on technical inquiries between supplier and the organization.Participate in technical adjudication and negotiation of contracts (purchase orders) and provide inputs as required.Support the Quality team on nonconformance events and technical/welding issues at suppliers.Utilize technical expertise and judgment to solve problems.
Leverage technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems, using multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.Travel to suppliers' facilities occasionally to monitor and verify project progress and support suppliers with problem-solving initiatives.Other sourcing-related activities may be assigned by the People Leader to support the business.Required QualificationsThis role requires experience in sourcing, planning, and supplier monitoring.
Knowledge level is comparable to a Diploma or Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).Technical/Engineering Diploma, Supply Chain Management Diploma, or Logistics Diploma.At least 3-6 years of experience in an expediting role within supply chain/sourcing.Package & RemunerationR 1 - R 2 - Monthly
