Job purposeThe primary duty of the Sophos Managed Services engineer is to build and maintain the SevenC Sophos backups infrastructure and services deployed to customers. Additionally they will also be assisting with day to day managed services at SevenC customers as reasonably possibleDuties and responsibilitiesManagement of the storage infrastructure for Sophos productsProvide hands-on support of Microsoft Windows Operating systems and Linux where necessaryPerform daily maintenance duties such as checking Sophos Dashboards for Malware that needs actioningConfigure and deploy Sophos firewalls into customer environmentsTroubleshoot and resolve and Sophos related incidentsDevelop and maintain company standards and SOP'sAssist implementations with deployment of new backup services as requiredAct as an escalation point in the businessAct as SME for Sophos products in the businessProvide reporting to management and customers as requiredSuggest infrastructure improvements / find efficiencies and implement with approvalRepresent Sophos backups and the business in meetingsWrite RCA's as requestedCoach and mentor other employees on Sophos productsAssist sales with relevant Sophos sales material and adviceAssist in presales as requiredAssist with management and support of Windows servers and networking as and when requiredPossibly work after hours to provide support to other engineersAssist with project work as and when requiredAction any additional reasonable requestsQualificationsCompTIA A+ - or equivalent knowledge/experienceCompTIA N+ - or equivalent knowledge/experienceSophos Certified Engineer qualificationRelevant networking experience3 years relevant experienceKey Performance AreasSuccessful and on time implementationsPresentation and implementation of infrastructure improvementsAttainment of Sophos qualificationsNo avoidable malware outbreaks at customerCommunication/Soft skills:Team playerExcellent communication skills, written and oralAbility to deal professionally with users, customers and suppliersAbility to communicate technical information to none technical usersReport writingDocumentation writingSelf-motivate, committed and enthusiastic IT professional, must be able to work on own initiative and without constant supervisionExperienced in high pressure environmentsUnderstanding of ITILWorking conditionsOvertime will be required when requested by clients or senior staff or when daily duties have not been completedTravel will be required to client's sites/suppliersPhysical requirementsDependable and well-maintained motor vehicleValid driver's license
