Sommelier - Bryanston Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the role of Sommelier for our upscale restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences and managing the restaurant's wine program.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Experience:

Welcome and greet guests with warmth and professionalism. Ensure guests receive outstanding service throughout their dining experience. Handle guest feedback and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and courteously. Maintain a positive and inviting ambiance in the restaurant. Wine Program Management:

Develop and maintain an exceptional wine list that complements the restaurant's cuisine. Offer expert wine recommendations to guests, enhancing their dining experience. Manage inventory and wine cellar, ensuring proper storage and rotation. Conduct staff wine training sessions to increase their knowledge and sales abilities. Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge of wines, including different varieties, regions, and food pairings. Familiarity with reservation systems, POS software, and basic computer skills. A passion for food, wine, and the hospitality industry. Remuneration: R15000 - R20000
