SOMATOLOGIST - confident in Skin Care & Body Care Therapies HERMANUS -Western Cape South Africa STARTING DATE: 01 July 2024 REPORTS to: Owners TRADING HOURS & SHIFTS: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00 Saturday 08:00 - 13:00 Closed Sundays 2x weekends off per month days off in the week REMUNERATION & COMPANY BENEFITS: R9,500 Basic Salary per month (Based on highest qualification obtained experience) Treatment Commission 10% Retail Commission 10% QUALIFICATIONS: Matric (Grade 12) / Senior National Certificate Somatology / Health & Skin Care / Cosmetology / Aesthetician related diploma (minimum 2-year qualification) Advanced Somatology Diploma - BONUS BTECH Degree - BONUS Dermal Aesthetics Diploma - BONUS ITEC / CIDESCO / CIBTAC / City & Guilds / SAAHSP or similar internationally accredited qualification EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: You must be based in or directly around Hermanus with ease of travel & reliable transport Offer at least ONE year post graduation Somatology experience in a salon, spa or cruise ship Fluent in both English and Afrikaans Highly presentable - look the part Work well in team dynamic and on your own Confidently prescribe alternative treatments and relevant home care Must be familiar with all treatment protocols and products Be responsible for ensuring that all treatments are up to our high standard of service excellence Confident and skilled in the following services (within your scope of practice): Standard Body Therapies (including Manicures, Pedicures, Waxing and Massage) Reflexology Vacuum Suction Lymphatic Drainage Facials Skin Care Technologies & Chemical Peels Skin Analysis
